played countless live performances in bands including: "Sons Of Guns" (a tribute to Guns N' Roses),
"Hard To Handle" (a tribute to the Black Crowes), Hardrive (his first trio), "Southpaws"
(a new country duo), "Funny Farm" (another trio), and last but certainly not least "3Sheets2TheWind".
Inspired by just about every genre of music Kelly has become a solid, versatile musician. He runs

singing along with all the popular songs of that era. His teachers noticed his passion for music and he was
asked to join the school choir in grade 3. A natural singer, he performed ABBA and Beatles songs in front
of his and other schools throughout grade school and he truly enjoyed performing in front of an audience.
It was in grade 7 that Steve got his first taste of the guitar. The music teacher asked the students who
played an instrument to bring them to Choir practice and have a "show and tell" about them. This was
when he first noticed the electric guitar! As the teacher left the classroom for a call in the office, the boy
who brought in the guitar stepped on a pedal and started playing "Smoke on the Water" and that sound
struck a chord in Steve that has been ringing ever since. Steve received an acoustic guitar later that
year from his parents and taught himself to play by using his ear to tell if he was playing the notes to his favorite song correctly! He took lesson
from Doug Ibanati ( now a Berkley graduate ) and he helped Steve understand music theory. Hisfavorite guitar player is Joe Satriani but he enjoys
all forms of guitar styles.
